Meet our new Cafe GM: Meaghan
Meaghan is helping us with something exciting for the spring...
Hi friends, I’m Meaghan aka Bidz (she/they). I’m so thrilled to have been invited to join the growing London Bicycle Café team where I can combine two of my longtime loves: coffee and bikes!
I’ve been working in coffee for over a decade, and am looking forward to bringing my passion and experience for sharing ethically sourced specialty coffee to you, through LBC. Many London locals will recognize me from other cafés in town, as I’ve worked as a barista and café manager for all eight years I’ve lived here.
I’ve always been an active-commuter: making use of city transit, walking, and biking everywhere I’ve lived, and I come to the world of cycling through the utilitarian perspective of an every-day commuter. As I get to know the LBC crew, I’m eager to get further acquainted with more local bike riders and cyclists pals in the city.
In my role as Cafe GM, I’ll be revamping our coffee and food programs from the ground up and working towards opening the new LBC location coming in Spring ‘22. (Stay tuned for details… we’re all pretty excited about this!)
This autumn you’ll likely see me tinkering with the espresso machine and maybe even slinging a latte or two at the cafe when you stop by. I’m looking forward to saying hey in person, and chatting about what you love in coffee and want to see from us in the future.
Big thanks to Ben, Andrew, and the whole team at LBC for the opportunity to work to facilitate community building and connections at the intersection of so many things I deeply care about. I’m looking forward to continuing to create spaces of community building and connection for coffee and bike lovers alike!
Can’t wait to come meet you all and bring in little Betty for a overhaul
