#100in1day London - By Bike!

Hear all about 100in1day and how we're participating this year

100 in one day poster. June 3, 2017. Text: "What if hundreds of people united together, each taking one small action to improve their city, all on the same day? 100in1 Day Canada is part of a global movement that is changing how people interact with their city."

Tomorrow Londoners are ready participate in a global event called #100in1day! It's a global event where 100 (or more) things happen in our great little city, and you get to participate! Since the shop isn't quite open yet, we decided to set up a little social media contest, challenging you to get to #100in1day events on your bike. We think you can probably get to more events by bike than any other mode of transportation.

Here's how it works: when you arrive at an event, take a selfie with your bike. Tag it with the hashtag #LdnOntBike, and #100in1day. We'll keep on our social media all day and keep track of your progress at 355 Clarence Street. We'll be here to stamp your passport if you stop by for a sneak preview of the shop in progress.

Rewards for participation in our intervention? We have a few.

  • One event - we'll give you a shout out on social media. Thanks for riding your bike!
  • Five events - we'll give you two free coffee or tea beverages of your choosing (coupon good for when we're open)
  • Ten events - we'll give your bike a free basic tune-up. After that much riding, your bike will need some TLC. Let us help you out with that!
  • Twenty-five events (more than one per hour!) - we'll give you a tune-up AND a $50 gift card. Thanks for being an amazing bike ambassador!

There are some other great bike events happening, too. Check out the Sense-Sational Community Bike Ride, organized by the London Cycle Link, and the London Brewing Co-op's Bike Rodeo! We can't wait to check out a few events tomorrow in our neighbourhood too. See you out there, #LdnOntBike!

ps - Nicole St. John at Urban League of London has been working like crazy to make this event run for the first time in London! Give her some love if you see her out and about tomorrow!
