At London Bicycle Café, we exist for one simple reason: to help slow and eventually reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions that are heating our planet. This is imperative to our survival — and every trip by bike matters.
We aim to increase cycling mode share in London from 2% to 10%. Right now, only 2% of trips in London are by bicycle. Our goal is to grow this to 10% by breaking down the barriers that prevent people from choosing cycling for everyday trips.
More than 60% of Londoners already want to cycle more often. Our mission is to help them do just that — by making cycling safe, accessible, and enjoyable.
We specialize in pedal-assist bikes, cargo bikes, and utility bikes — practical solutions that make cycling easier and more accessible for all kinds of trips. Whether you’re hauling groceries, dropping kids off at school, commuting to work, or replacing your car entirely, these bikes help you go further with less effort. Our focus on utility cycling empowers people to make bicycles a natural, everyday part of their lives.

Our café is a community hub — a welcoming third space for the cycling community and our 15‑minute walkable neighbourhood. Cyclists from across the city seek us out as a destination, while local neighbours drop in for coffee and conversation.
Our café offers a warm, inclusive atmosphere and premium local food and drink that attract non-cycling customers. Many of these customers eventually become interested in cycling themselves — simply by seeing people like them arrive by bike. They ask questions, book test rides, and discover a new way to move around. This process can take days, months, or even years, but it’s key to creating new riders.
Every bike sale and service appointment brings people back through our doors — riders who feel connected to our space and invested in our success. Whether they’re on a daily commute or a weekend ride, London Bicycle Café is a destination and gathering place for people who care about their community and their planet.
